National Insurance Page

Welcome to my national page for cheap insurance, where no matter where you live in the United States, you can get an insurance quote with a well known national insurance company.

To help you optimize your rate for cheap insurance, if you know what questions the company will ask, it makes sense to be prepared to answer them honestly, yet with the focus on keeping the rate as low as possible.

To get an instant quote from a national carrier, enter your zip code

Zip Code:

Doing an online quote yourself is fine, but even those online quote programs can leave out pertinent questions that can help lower your rate.

For example, you may live in one city, but spend the week working in another. Which city should you be rated in? Generally, wherever you spend the most time.

But having that other address could have a cheap insurance rate, so maybe you spend a little more time there and can be rated there.

Each company is different. Some are more stringent, and might look closely for any discrepancies, such as a different address on your drivers license than your new insurance policy, and you may be asked to verify your address if it differs.

I had several examples recently of situations that could be rated differently.

In one case, I asked the gentleman where he lived, and he gave me the same address as his work. Upon further questioning, he gave me his home address, which was 50 miles away. This caused the rate to go up by $5.00 a month.

Be prepared. If you travel a great distance to get to work, it could affect the rate with higher annual miles.

I would never tell you to lie to get a lower rate. But some factors can be massaged to get the rate a little lower.

In the above example, maybe he doesn't work 5 days a week. Maybe he stays at a friend's house sometimes, and doesn't drive the distance everyday. If you don't drive 5 days a week, the annual miles can be rated lower.

Each tip can save a little here and a little there. You should keep the tips in mind, and check out my tips page before you get a rate.
